Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or complementary products to customers.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Assists with pricing and merchandising as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality assurance.
- Adheres to all pharmacy dispensing policies, including Good Faith Dispensing.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, including calls to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and manages related claims.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains visual displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and inventory control following store policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and deliveries.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, ensuring a neat and organized environment.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or other required pharmacy credentials through ongoing training and education.
- Participates in training sessions, completes required continuing education, and stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
