Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the OTC aisle.
- Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow scheduling. Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Ensures compliance with all pharmacy dispensing policies, including Good Faith Dispensing.
- Handles non-urgent telephone calls, including those to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Assists with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Complies with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Supports product placement and stock rotation, especially for food items, following company policies.
- Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional prints, and manages web pick-up orders.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Performs additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
