Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or complementary products to customers.
- Processes sales on the cash register, handles payments, and manages returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and stocking as directed by store management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by assisting with entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and supporting workflow under supervision.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party prescription claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and managing claims for overages, shortages, and damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, assists with product placement, and manages stock rotation and restocking.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment, provides photo services, and manages web order pickups.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, adheres to policies, and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
