Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including processing payments, refunds, and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medications, and supporting workflow scheduling.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality improvement programs.
- Follows all policies related to Good Faith Dispensing and complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Assists with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains product displays and assists with resets and revisions as directed.
- Supports food and product placement policies, including stock rotation and storage.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and delivery.
- Supports store cleanliness and maintenance, and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state certification as required, through ongoing training and education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required coursework, and stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include:
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
