Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Operates the cash register, processes transactions, returns, refunds, and assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and assists with merchandise pricing and stocking as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting pharmacists with workflow and scheduling.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls and processes third-party prescription claims efficiently.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, completes resets, and assists with product placement and stock rotation.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pick-ups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, complies with policies, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Performs other tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
