Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a customer-focused team member to support daily retail and pharmacy operations. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and assist the pharmacist under supervision in processing prescriptions.

Strong English skills, math accuracy, and comfort with computer systems are essential, with preference given to those with PTCB certification. Flexibility for evenings and weekends, retail experience, and Walgreens familiarity are desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English; core requirement for effective customer interactions.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months retail experience preferred; Walgreens experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred for faster integration.
• Good math skills for prescription counting and dosing accuracy.
• Proficiency with computer systems and store technology is preferred.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is a plus.
• PTCB certification preferred to support pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales at the cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy; use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers, greets, assists with products and services, and resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain clean, well-merchandised counters and shelves; assist with inventory and price checks.
• Support pharmacy workflow including entering patient data, filling prescriptions, and checking for interactions.
• Communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and comply with company policies and QA programs.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing and pharmacy code of conduct; handle calls related to physicians as needed.
• Assist with pharmacy and store operations, including inventory management and special assignments.
