Job summary

Walgreens Co. in Illinois is seeking a part-time associate to provide courteous checkout service and assist the pharmacist with prescription processing under direct supervision. You will engage customers, maintain store cleanliness, and support inventory and merchandising efforts.

The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekend hours and familiarity with pharmacy systems. Experience in retail is preferred, along with basic math skills and knowledge of store inventory control.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for filling prescriptions and accuracy.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients, greets them, and offers assistance with products and services.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, and assists with inventory management.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager or Store Manager including entering patient and drug information and ensuring accuracy.
