Job summary

Walgreens Co. in Chicago seeks a customer-focused pharmacy/retail associate to deliver friendly service at the checkout and assist the pharmacist under supervision with prescriptions, patient information, and pharmacy operations.

You will engage customers, greet them, help locate products, process transactions, and maintain store standards while supporting inventory and merchandising. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist pharmacist in the pharmacy under direct supervision with prescription processing and patient information.
• Fill prescriptions, verify medicines, and check for possible interactions.
• Assist with inventory management and merchandising to keep counters clean and well stocked.
• Process third‑party claims and clerical duties as directed by management.
