Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-4 years Pharmacy Technician experience in a retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy.
• 1-2 years customer service or equivalent preferred.
• MD Pharmacy Technician licensure/registration required upon hire.
• National pharmacy technician license (PTCB or ExCPT) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Fosters strong relationships with healthcare providers and payors to coordinate care.
• Tracks patient refills, communicates with providers, and outreaches to patients for coordination of medication management.
• Researches copay/foundation assistance and connects patients to resources.
• Tracks and completes prior authorization and patient assistance enrollments.
• Performs patient onboarding benefits investigation, order entry, and delivery coordination.
• Ensures patients have resources to adhere to their medication plan.
