Job summary

ShopRite of Aberdeen is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk in Aberdeen, NJ. The role involves delivering excellent customer service, operating the pharmacy register, handling payments, stocking, and maintaining a clean, compliant work area.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, verifying patient information, adhering to HIPAA and safety standards, and assisting customers with product locations. This is a physical position requiring lifting and standing for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Accurately ring prescription sales.
• Collect payment and give correct change.
• Comply with drug laws and HIPAA.
• Maintain security of Pharmacy Department.
• Handle prescriptions and verify patient information.
• Stock pharmaceuticals and assist customers in finding items.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards.
