Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support daily operations in our pharmacy. You will assist customers, stock supplies, handle cash transactions, and help keep the pharmacy running smoothly with care and professionalism.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced store environment. Vaccination certification may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Answer the telephone promptly and take refill orders with courteous, helpful service.
• Gather patient information necessary to prepare prescriptions.
• Stock received product and supplies and keep pharmacy well stocked.
• Review prescriptions not yet picked up as directed by the department manager.
• Process cash transactions accurately and log invoices as needed.
• Prepare paperwork and medicines for delivery orders or mail-outs as requested.
• Coordinate nursing home medicines as necessary and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
