Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to provide prompt, friendly customer service in the Pharmacy department. You will help with stocking, processing orders, and assisting with prescription-related tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

This role requires basic High School education, ability to lift, and willingness to follow safety and privacy guidelines. Vaccination administration may be possible where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• Provides prompt, friendly customer service and treats customers as the most important people in the store.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the department and supports efficient pharmacy operations.
• Orders products and supplies and logs invoices as necessary.
• Coordinates nursing home medicines as necessary and reviews prescriptions if needed.
• Administers vaccines as allowed by law where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Reviews prescriptions that are not picked up as requested by department manager.
• Orders product and supplies at the department managers request.
• Coordinates nursing home medicines as necessary.
• Prepares the paperwork and compiles medicine for delivery orders and mail outs at the request of the department manager.
• Keeps pharmacy supplies well stocked.
• Administer Vaccines as allowed by law.
