Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists customers with medication usage, interactions, and safety, ensuring a positive experience.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and dispensing as workload requires.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations, policies, and standards; assists with opening/closing and shift changes.
• Follows Good Faith Dispensing policy and adheres to state/federal controlled substance laws in prescription filling.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements to promote productivity.
• Processes insurance claims and follows up with providers to resolve issues and prevent rejections.
• Conducts immunizations and preventive health services (e.g., flu shots, diabetes awareness).
• Analyzes performance data with pharmacy leadership and supports inventory management and asset protection.
• Develops relationships with local medical community and participates in community outreach.
