Job summary

Walgreens Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacist to provide comprehensive medication guidance, immunizations, and counseling, while ensuring accurate compounding, dispensing, and verification within regulatory guidelines.

You will support pharmacy operations, manage workflows, collaborate with healthcare providers, and participate in preventive care services to enhance patient outcomes and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmacy consulting services regarding effective usage of medications and drug interactions.
• Performs compounding, dispensation, review and verification of prescribed medications.
• Supports workflow optimization, inventory management and customer experience.
• Counsels patients on medicine use, side effects, interactions and privacy considerations.
• Immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive healthcare services.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and ensures accuracy of insurance claims.
