Job summary

Oklahoma Arthritis Center is seeking a Pharmacy Financial Coordinator to verify benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and coordinate with patients for medication access. The role interfaces with providers and clinic staff to ensure claims are processed and medications obtained.

The candidate should have pharmacy billing or tech experience, knowledge of PBMs, and proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office. HIPAA compliance and fast-paced teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience with pharmacy billing, insurance, prior authorizations, medical billing, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years' experience as Pharmacy Technician.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Oklahoma pharmacy tech license - required.
• Specialty pharmacy experience - preferred.
• Liberty experience - a plus.
• EHR system experience.

Responsibilities

• Verifies prescription benefits and eligibility. Submits prior authorizations for medications and follows up in a timely manner.
• Reprocesses insurance claims for medications as needed
• Communicates with patient on authorization status, outcome, and any individual needs to obtain medication.
• Researches and follows PBM guidelines and policies.
• Resolves issues that inhibits patient from obtaining prescription medications ordered by their clinic provider.
