Job summary

Oklahoma Arthritis Center (OAC) is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to resolve Medicaid denied claims and enter Medicaid secondary claims into the Oklahoma Health Care Authority portal. You will track denial trends and communicate with patients and payers to resolve issues.

The role requires knowledge of medical billing, basic coding, and HIPAA guidelines; you will work closely with the Administration and maintain confidential information while providing timely responses and accurate data

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six to twelve months of billing-related training or experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical billing and payer procedures.
• Basic medical coding knowledge and HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Resolve Medicaid denied claims and enter Medicaid secondary claims.
• Recognize denial trends and research resolution methods.
• Enter claims on the Medicaid portal accurately.
• Respond to patient/payer inquiries promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
