Job summary

Swisslog Healthcare is seeking a Field Service Technician based in New York City, NY, to support Pharmacy Automation systems. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, handle startup services, and train customers while promoting company products.

The role requires 1–3 years of field service experience with electro-mechanical products, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently, with travel within NYC and tri-state area.

Qualifications

• Vocational/military experience or equivalent.
• 1–3 years field service with electro-mechanical products.
• Effective communication to build customer trust.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with PC software/hardware and Windows applications.
• Basic computer networking knowledge.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance for contract customers.
• Provide on-demand and 24/7 emergency services as needed.
• Assist with start-up services on Translogic Systems and new products.
• Train customers on system operation and light maintenance.
• Promote parts and inventory levels to customers as required.
• Conduct periodic care visits to monitor performance and satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and customer consignment stock.
• Handle paperwork: Work Orders, Expense Reports, Downtime Reports.
• Collaborate with sales and support teams for customer base.
