Job summary

Johns Hopkins Care at Home in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician under pharmacist supervision to support medication preparation, packaging, distribution and inventory management.

You will handle inbound contacts from patients, providers and insurers, interview callers, coordinate pharmacy tasks by phone, and maintain high levels of customer service on every call.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) required.
• 6 months pharmacy technician experience or minimum 2nd year pharmacy student.
• Two (2) years retail/inpatient pharmacy technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound contacts from patients, providers and insurance companies.
• Interview callers to understand requested information.
• Coordinate pharmacy tasks by phone, including processing prescriptions and updating insurance/demographics.
• Maintain high level customer service on every call.
