Job summary

St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care. You will oversee medication therapy, conduct drug information duties, and ensure regulatory compliance across dispensing systems.

The role requires a Pharm. D., an active Florida license, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Hospital experience is preferred, with Tenet’s benefits and professional development programs available.

Qualifications

• Pharm. D. degree required.
• Current Florida pharmacist license.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor patient's medication therapy and orders for safety and efficacy.
• Advise patient care team on medication therapy and document interventions.
• Order verification and medication profile reviews for duplications, interactions, allergies, dosing and frequency.
• Prepare, label, and dispense medications per prescriptions with compliance to laws and regulations.

Job Summary

Job Shift: Rotate

Job Type: Full Time

Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

The Staff Pharmacist provide pharmaceutical care services to the patients including, but not limited to oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and proper documentation of patient medication therapy as well as providing drug information, patient information and oversight of information and dispensing systems. Additionally: ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. May also advise physicians on medication utilization.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor patient's medication therapy and orders written for safety and efficacy considering specific patient conditions and health status
• Advise patient care team on patient's medication therapy and document such interventions.
• Order verification and performing medication profile reviews that should include but not limited to checking for duplications, drug- drug and drug-food interactions, allergies, drug appropriateness, dosing, and frequency.
• Prepare, label, and dispense medications for patients in accordance with physicians' prescriptions; ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and narcotics and the maintenance of required records.

Experience:

• Preferred: Hospital experience

License:

• Current registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida

Certifications:

• Required: BLS within 30 days of hire (ACLS and/or PALS if code attendance required)
• Preferred: Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), CGP, etc.
