Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our high-impact LTC pharmacy team. The role focuses on delivering personalized, top-tier pharmaceutical care to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities.

Responsibilities include evaluating orders, ensuring proper labeling, and collaborating with healthcare staff. Competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered, with a shift from 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities' nursing staff, physicians and healthcare team about medication queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facilities staff when needed.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers' database with medical history and clinical data.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities' nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
