Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital York is seeking a Pharmacist for a per diem role at our York campus. The position offers a $68.00 hourly rate with one weekend per month and potential weekday shifts based on hospital needs.

Candidates must hold a current state pharmacist license. Per diem staff may have opportunities for advancement and access to benefits after established hours. This role supports inpatient post-ICU care in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as a pharmacist in the state.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Ensure adequacy of drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on prescribed drugs at discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Foster continuous quality improvement in the pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
