Job summary

Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital, a UPMC and Select Medical partnership, seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for our inpatient rehabilitation program at UPMC West Shore. This per diem role covers 1–2 weekends per month, with potential for weekday opportunities. Compensation is $65.00 per hour.

You will oversee drug distribution, IV admixture, and provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy while educating patients and contributing to quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure required.
• BLS if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
