Job summary

Black River Health is hiring an Inpatient Pharmacist for per diem day-shift coverage at the Black River Memorial Hospital Campus in Wisconsin. The role focuses on safe medication use, patient counseling, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, dispensing meds, and supporting regulatory compliance and payer processes. A PharmD or Pharm degree with an active Wisconsin license is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with PharmD or equivalent BS degree.
• Current and unrestricted Wisconsin license to practice as a Pharmacist.

Make an Impact

• Review and verify medication orders for safety, accuracy, and clinical appropriateness.
• Dispense medications and provide patient counseling.
• Collaborate with providers to resolve medication-related issues and optimize therapy.
• Support medication safety, regulatory compliance, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
• Assist with insurance billing, prior authorizations, and claim resolution.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in a five-year pharmaceutical program or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Current and unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of Wisconsin
• Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and point-of-sale technologies
• Strong clinical knowledge and counseling skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
