Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to oversee medication distribution processes and work with pharmacy production areas. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD, and a Wisconsin license to practice within 90 days.

• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin within 90 Days required.

Job description

Work Schedule

20% FTE. Variety of AM & PM schedules available (6:00AM - 11:00PM). Weekend and holiday rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Be a consistent presence in the pharmacy production areas and oversee medication distribution processes.
• Work with various pieces of central automation and technology.
• Be well versed in the requirements of USP Chapter 797 and sterile compounding procedures.
• Work with the technicians to help them understand their critical role in patient care and medication safety, to provide them with guidance, some supervision, and to help hold them accountable for their daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Participate in quality improvement, assurance and compliance systems pertinent to medication distribution.
