Job summary

SpartanNash in Gladwin, MI, is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to provide accurate dispensing and patient counseling. The role includes supervising pharmacy technicians and maintaining regulatory compliance in a community pharmacy setting.

The Pharmacy operates Mon-Fri 9am-6pm and Sat 9am-1pm. A Bachelor's in Pharmacy or PharmD is required, with MI licensure. Immunization certification is preferred, and strong HIPAA knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD; licensure required in Michigan.
Three years experience in a pharmaceutical department.
Pharmacy License in good standing in the state of operation.
Immunization Certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Receive prescription and refill requests from customers and/or clinics and fill prescriptions accurately and courteously.
Dispense medications as prescribed; oversee dispensing steps and ensure accuracy.
Provide medication counseling regarding use, dosage, interactions, and storage.
Order, stock, check inventory, and perform cycle counts in the pharmacy; maintain department inventory.
Review and validate orders for amount, quality, count or weight; ensure proper storage.
Lead and/or oversee pharmacy technicians and interns as needed for efficient service.
Maintain a clean, compliant department; implement pharmacy programs and regulatory compliance.
