Job summary

SpartanNash in Sparta, Michigan is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists by preparing medications, counting tablets, labeling bottles, and supporting patient services in a retail pharmacy setting.

You will handle prescription processing, insurance forms, maintain patient profiles, stock shelves, and ensure HIPAA compliance. A high school diploma and one year of pharmacy-related customer service experience are preferred; on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of pharmacy-related customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock and take inventory of medications (prescription and over the counter).
• Notify Pharmacy Manager of supplies/products that need to be ordered.
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Operate cash register and process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department.
• Abide by HIPAA and all policies.
