Job summary

SpartanNash in Albion, MI is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists by preparing medications, processing prescriptions, and providing customer service. You will stock, label, and manage patient profiles while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate insurance forms.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of pharmacy-related customer service experience preferred, plus state registration or certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock and take inventory of medications (prescription and over-the-counter).
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Operate cash register, display costs, make change and issue receipts.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department.
• Abide by HIPAA and all policies and procedures.
• Assist pharmacist on duty as delegated.
