Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field is required.
• Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.
• Pharmacy license in good standing required in the state of operation.
• Immunization certification preferred.
• Strong HIPAA knowledge and pharmacy regulations knowledge.
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise pharmacy technicians as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescription and refill requests from customers and clinics and fill efficiently and accurately.
• Dispense medications as prescribed; oversee accurate dispensing and labeling.
• Provide medication counseling on prescriptions and OTC products.
• Order, stock, check inventory and perform cycle counts in the pharmacy.
• Review and validate orders for amount and quality and proper storage.
• Ensure outdated or damaged products are handled per guidelines.
• Maintain pharmacy records and registries and inventory controls.
• Lead pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure efficient service.
• Communicate with Pharmacy Manager about concerns.
• Maintain clean, stocked department and comply with company standards.
• Implement pharmacy programs (security, immunizations, etc.).
• May provide clinical care services as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of laws, trends and best practices; ensure compliance.
• Explain company services and loyalty programs; model high service standards.
