Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers in Casper, Wyoming is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. You will ensure accurate RX processing, provide drug counseling to patients and prescribers, and support immunization services while maintaining safety and compliance with state and federal laws.

You will manage RX orders, maintain records, coordinate with physicians, assist with inventory, and help fulfill quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Pharmacist license in the state where employment is sought, with no stipulations or Board ordered restrictions.
• Graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam.
• Successfully passed the NAPLEX exam.
• Ability to work at various locations.
• Ability to travel independently.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by addressing product questions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
• Provide drug counseling with customers and prescribers.
• Receive verbal RX orders and accurately reduce to writing in adherence with laws.
• Interpret, fill/refill, label and bag prescription orders completely and accurately.
• Evaluate appropriateness of RX orders for patient safety and legal compliance.
• Be familiar with third party billing and procedures; facilitate charges.
• Maintain accurate RX records and deliver prescriptions to customers.
• Demonstrate ability to accurately and efficiently utilize RX computer system.
• Maintain inventory and reconcile controlled substances per policy.
• Promote immunizations and provide them safely and effectively.
• Engage in clinical activities within trained scope; supervise and delegate as needed.
• File prescription orders and records per regulations; resolve conflicts in manager's absence.
• Run, review and interpret reports; oversee departmental administrative needs.
