Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers in Utah is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services, fill prescriptions and counsel patients. You will supervise technicians and ensure compliance with all statutes and regulations while upholding company values.

You will also manage immunizations, patient coaching and medication therapy management, with a focus on accuracy, customer service and teamwork across multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in good standing required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance are essential.
• Strong math skills for dosage calculations and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by demonstrating sincerity, patience and respect in all customer interactions and by thanking customers for their business.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into computer system.
• Counsel patients about medications and possible drug interactions; ensure understanding of treatment.
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols.
• Monitor patient profiles and inventory levels; perform daily operational duties under supervision.
• Follow policies for all pharmacy operations and HIPAA compliance.
