Job summary

State of Wyoming is seeking a Staff Pharmacist at the Wyoming Life Resource Center, an inpatient setting where you will oversee medications, provide clinical guidance, and mentor students. You will work with providers to optimize resident care and ensure safety.

You will supervise technicians, participate in program development, and contribute to state pharmacy services. A stable, benefits-rich environment supports professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Pharmacist licensure in Wyoming or eligibility.
• 1–3 years progressive pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, and compound medications following policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Validate prescriber orders for accuracy, dose, route, frequency, duration, indication, and potential contraindications; monitor interactions.
• Review patient medication profiles, consult with medical/nursing staff, and maximize therapy while ensuring cost-effective regimens.
• Supervise and check all duties of the Pharmacy Technician.
• Support Department of Health’s Office of Pharmacy Services and chair relevant committees (Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Behavior Medication Review, Infection Control).
• Provide education to state agencies and public/private groups on pharmacy issues.
