Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to oversee the compounding and dispensing of prescriptions, advise customers, and manage inventory. The role includes supervising technicians, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state/federal rules, and maintaining accurate records.

A Doctorate is preferred, with a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy required and ongoing education to maintain licensure. The position emphasizes patient care, accurate dispensing, and leadership in a fast‑paced pharmacy environment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required
• Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred
• Pharmacy License in good standing required
• Immunization certification preferred
• Strong HIPAA knowledge and pharmacy laws
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Receive prescription and refill requests and fill accurately and courteously
• Dispense medications as prescribed and oversee labeling and packaging
• Provide medication counseling on prescription and OTC drugs
• Order stock, manage inventory, and perform cycle counts
• Maintain pharmacy records and compliance with regulations
• Lead pharmacy technicians and interns as needed
• Ensure clean, compliant, and well‑stocked department
• Communicate with Pharmacy Manager about concerns
