Job summary

SpartanNash Traverse City pharmacy is hiring a pharmacist to manage compounding and dispensing of prescription medications. You will advise customers on medications, monitor stock, and guide technicians to ensure accurate, compliant service.

The role requires a PharmD or PharmD preferred, state license in good standing, and strong communication and leadership skills in a retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred.
• Three years experience in pharmaceutical department.
• Pharmacy license in good standing required in the operating state.
• Immunization certification preferred.
• HIPAA privacy and security rules knowledge emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescription and refill requests from customers and clinics, fill prescriptions accurately and courteously.
• Dispense medications as prescribed and ensure accurate measuring, labeling and packaging.
• Provide medication counseling on use, interactions, storage, and side effects.
• Order, stock, and cycle-count inventory; manage pharmacy records and registries.
• Lead and oversee pharmacy technicians and interns; communicate with Pharmacy Manager.
