Weis Markets in Lusby, MD is seeking a Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy team. The role emphasizes accurate drug utilization, patient counseling, immunization services, and MTM when available, with supervision of Pharmacy Technicians.

You will partner with physicians, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, manage inventories, and help train staff. A Pharm.D. or equivalent, BS in Pharmacy and Immunization Certification are required, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with a BS, Pharm.D. or equivalent in Pharmacy and immunization certification.
• Ability to supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff.
• Commitment to compliance with federal/state pharmacy laws and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of prescriptions via Drug Utilization Review and QA per regulations.
• Promote clinical programs including immunization and MTM when available.
• Align department objectives to key metrics for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory control and supplier coordination to meet demand and profits.
• Provide healthcare counseling and excellent customer service to patients.
• Train, coach, and supervise pharmacy associates; manage in the Pharmacy Manager's absence.
• Maintain department security and compliance; resolve customer issues and questions.
• Coordinate with physicians and use references to resolve prescription issues.
