Job summary

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, a part of Elevance Health, seeks a Pharmacist Lead to drive clinical strategy and operational leadership within the BioPlus division. You will mentor pharmacists and lead non-clinical associates to maximize facility production while adhering to regulations and cost-effective drug use.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS in Pharmacy and a minimum of 3 years of mail service operations experience or an equivalent background.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, clinical program management, healthcare regulations, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead initiatives across multiple business functions.
• Exceptional project management, communication, organizational, and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic and operational partner to specialty pharmacy leadership, translating priorities into actionable clinical initiatives.
• Own project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, identifying risks and mitigating them to ensure deadlines are met.
• Lead development, implementation, and oversight of clinical programs improving patient outcomes and adherence.
• Coordinate enterprise-wide specialty pharmacy initiatives across clinical operations, payer strategy, quality, and technology.
• Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to improve quality, patient experience, access, and efficiency.
• Lead governance, executive reporting, and performance reviews for clinical programs.
• Partner with medical, pharmacy, and population health leaders to develop evidence-based care models.
