Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacist Informatics Specialist to help advance the medication-use system and EHR integrations. The role centers on clinical informatics, serving as the bridge between clinicians and IT to build workflows that support safe patient care.

Candidates should hold a Doctor of Pharmacy, have 3 years of pharmacist experience (or PGY1/PGY2 in informatics), and possess EPIC Willow certification. Remote work is available for eligible states.

Qualifications

• Epic Willow certification required or equivalent.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems, or infusion pumps.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions and operational needs into clear system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR.
• Serves as liaison regarding clinical informatics and workflow improvements.
• Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems that advance evidence-based practice and medication safety.
• Designs and implements new EHR builds to support clinical practice and improve patient care quality and safety.
• Consults with providers and leaders to evaluate information systems and ensure compliance.
