Job summary

STG International in Mooresville, NC seeks a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee clinical, regulatory, and financial performance of the Pharmacy. You will ensure safe dispensing, maintain compliance with laws, and lead a team to deliver resident centered care.

As PIC you hold the license, manage operations, immunizations, third party billing, and develop new service lines while engaging with residents and community partners.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Eligible to serve as Pharmacist in Charge per state regulations.
• Immunization certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy management system and third party billing.
• Minimum 3-5 years of retail pharmacy leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge with the State Board of Pharmacy; ensure full compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws (DEA, HIPAA, CMS, Board of Pharmacy regulations).
• Clinical Leadership: Ensure accurate dispensing and verification of prescriptions; provide patient counseling on medication usage and adherence; lead immunization programs and clinical service initiatives.
• Operational Management: Direct daily pharmacy workflow, staffing, scheduling; optimize efficiency; manage inventory and shrink; oversee third party billing compliance.
• Financial & Business Performance: Drive profitability through revenue growth and expense management; monitor KPIs; identify new service lines and community outreach opportunities.
• People Leadership & Talent Development: Build relationships with residents, physicians, clinics, and community partners; address patient concerns; promote services including immunizations.
