Job summary

Omnicell, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist-In-Charge to lead the Specialty Pharmacy team in Richmond, VA. You’ll work at the top of your license, ensure safe dispensing, and provide exceptional patient care with autonomy in daily operations.

This on-site role emphasizes regulatory compliance, collaboration with physicians, and continual improvement of pharmacy services, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a focus on delivering high-quality care to the local community.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Successful completion of Virginia state pharmacy board examination.
• Pharmacist license current and in good standing in Virginia.
• Three years of experience in the practice of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence
• Build effective relationships with local physicians and medical community to ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medication to patients
• Business acumen and leadership; own pharmacy operations and embrace continual improvement, learning, and leading to provide the best possible patient care and empower the pharmacy team’s development
• Stay informed of regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and knowledge of specialty diseases such as Autoimmune, Oncology, Hepatitis C, HIV, and more
• Clinical oversight and industry innovation; committee member participation as Omnicell leads innovation in medication management and elevates the roles of the pharmacist in healthcare

What You’ll Bring

Basic Requirements:

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy

• Successful completion of Virginia state pharmacy board examination

• Pharmacist license current and in good standing in Virginia

• Three (3) years of experience in the practice of pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience in pharmacy management

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and other movement for the duration of the shift and lifting up to 25 pounds
