Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a Pharmacist-In-Charge at our Batchelor, LA location. The role focuses on leading pharmacy operations, ensuring safe dispensing, and delivering exceptional patient care within a specialty pharmacy team.

You will collaborate with physicians, stay up-to-date on regulations, and drive continual improvement while supporting the broader Omnicell mission.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Louisiana state pharmacy board examination completed.
• Pharmacist license current and in good standing in Louisiana.
• Up-to-date on all continuing education requirements.
• Three years of experience in the practice of pharmacy.
• Two to three years of experience in pharmacy management (preferred).

Responsibilities

• As Pharmacist-In-Charge, provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence.
• Build effective relationships with local physicians and the medical community to ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medication to patients.
• Demonstrate business acumen and leadership; own pharmacy operations and drive continual improvement to empower the pharmacy team.
• Stay informed of regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and knowledge of specialty diseases such as Autoimmune, Oncology, Hepatitis C, HIV, and more.
• Engage in clinical oversight and industry innovation; participate as a committee member as Omnicell leads in medication management.

Hours and Location:

• This pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm


• We are located at 6450 LA Hwy 1, Batchelor, LA 70715

What You’ll Bring

Basic Qualifications:

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy


• Successful completion of Louisiana state pharmacy board examination


• Pharmacist license current and in good standing in Louisiana


• Up-to-date on all continuing education requirements


• Three years of experience in the practice of pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two to three years of experience in pharmacy management

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and other movement for the duration of the shift and lifting up to 25 pounds
