Job summary

Omnicell in West Covina, CA is seeking a Specialty Staff Pharmacist to serve the local community and lead the pharmacy team. You’ll provide personalized patient care and ensure safe dispensing of medications.

You’ll build relationships with local physicians, optimize efficiency and costs, stay current on regulations and specialty disease states, and contribute to innovation through committee work within Omnicell’s pharmacy leadership.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Successful completion of the California State Board of Pharmacy examination.
• Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in California in good standing.
• Up-to-date continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting with empathy and confidentiality.
• Build relationships with local physicians to ensure safe and accurate dispensing.
• Maximize efficiency and cost savings for the health system and patients.
• Stay informed of regulations and specialty disease states (oncology, rheumatology, etc.).

• This pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What You’ll Bring

Basic Requirements

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Successful completion of the California State Board of Pharmacy examination.
• Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in California.
• Up-to-date on all continuing education requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Specialty Pharmacy and/or 340B.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and other movement for the duration of the shift, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• Ability to distinguish between colors and shapes.

Base Compensation: $65.00 to $75.00
