Advocate Health is seeking a pharmacist to oversee pharmaceutical care in a full-time role in Milwaukee, WI. You will counsel patients and caregivers, evaluate therapy plans, and ensure safe dispensing and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a pharmacy degree, state licensure or reciprocity eligibility, and applicable certifications. No prior experience is required, and the role emphasizes safety, education, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Competenze

• Licensed in the state or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification may be required.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on practice area.
• No experience required.

Mansioni

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including literature evaluation and therapy design.
• Educates patients and caregivers on meds, effects, adherence, handling, and administration.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific regimens using current biomedical literature.
• Reviews medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy.
• Participates in medical emergency management when applicable.
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Ensures proper storage and handling of medications per policies.
• Preceptor for pharmacy students and residents; mentors staff.
• Directs and checks pharmacy support staff to ensure safe workflows.
• Provides care aligned with age-specific needs for patients.
