Job summary

Neighborhood LTC Pharmacy in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Pharmacist to work in a closed-door, non-retail setting focusing on IDD and behavioral health patients. The role emphasizes collaboration with nurses and prescribers to optimize therapies and provide patient-focused care.

We offer daytime hours (9:00 AM–5:30 PM), no Sundays or major holidays, and competitive benefits through our ESOP-employee ownership model. Pharmacists will engage in clinical care and team-based decision making.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree.
• Active Iowa Pharmacist License or ability to obtain before starting.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Collaborative, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion for the individuals and care teams we serve.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Verify multidose medication packaging and MARs.
• Collaborate with prescribers, nurses and direct support professionals.
• Review medication therapies, interactions and clinical concerns.
• Maintain accurate MAR information for caregivers.
• Administer long-acting injectable medications as needed.
• Participate in medication reviews and other clinical initiatives.
• Work alongside your pharmacy team to provide accurate, timely care.
