Job summary

Neighborhood LTC Pharmacy, a 100% employee-owned closed‑door pharmacy serving individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs, seeks a Staff Pharmacist in Des Moines. Work with nurses and prescribers, with no retail interruptions, in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• Active Iowa Pharmacist license or ability to obtain before starting.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Collaborative, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion for the individuals and care teams we serve.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Verify multidose medication packaging and MARs
• Collaborate with prescribers, nurses and direct support professionals
• Review medication therapies, interactions and clinical concerns
• Maintain accurate MAR information for caregivers
• Administer long-acting injectable medications as needed
• Participate in medication reviews and other clinical initiatives
• Work alongside your pharmacy team to provide accurate, timely care
