Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree required or equivalent with 2 years of experience.
• ASHP residency preferred but not required.
• Maryland pharmacist license required.
• Advanced practice certification preferred (e.g., BCPS, BCACP, AAHIVP, CSP).
• MD vaccination certification required within six months of employment.
• Active CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe and effective use of medications with the patient care team.
• Provide patient care by phone and in person.
• Identify and address educational needs of staff, patients, caregivers, students, residents, and healthcare team members.
• Lead in precepting interns, students, and residents and coordinate learning initiatives in outpatient pharmacies.
• May interpret, dispense, and verify medications ordered by physicians or other prescribers.
