Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in the MHS Pharmacy department for an onsite PRN role. You will ensure medications are prescribed, dispensed and administered per best practices, and provide drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers.

You will stay current with formularies and new therapies, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices.
• Provide drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers regarding medication use, accurate dosage, potential side effects, and administration instructions.
• Stay current with updated medication formularies, new drug therapies, treatment protocols, and emerging medical research through continuous professional development and clinical education.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate collaborative care to ensure optimal outcomes.

Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO

Department: MHS Pharmacy

Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $57.50 - $80.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.

• State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
