Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO

Department: Pharmacy

Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $59.80 - $83.72 per hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification and/or relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level.
Responsibilities
  • Provides top‑of‑scope pharmacy support utilizing evidence‑based protocols and best practices to promote safety at the point of care
  • Values and effectively partners with a multidisciplinary team to achieve care outcomes
  • Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice
  • Models proficiency through precepting and mentoring those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
  • Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment
  • Contributes proactively to solutions to secure safety and quality at point of care
  • Ensures medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices
  • Provides drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers regarding medication use, accurate dosage, potential side effects, and administration instructions
  • Stays current with updated medication formularies, new drug therapies, treatment protocols, and emerging medical research through continuous professional development and clinical education
  • Communicates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate collaborative care to ensure optimal outcomes
