Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH seeks a Pharmacist for a full-time 7-on-7-off, 10-hour shift at the Akron City campus. The role ensures safe, efficacious, and cost-effective medication preparation and use, in compliance with laws and hospital policies, within a patient-centered care team.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD or B.Pharm, Ohio licensure, and demonstrable knowledge of pharmacy law, with strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork skills; experience with cost-reduction initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Pharm D in pharmacy.
Current Licensure in State of Ohio.
Working knowledge of pharmacy law.
Dexterity to operate computer terminal, calculator and other office equipment; to manipulate fine instruments; and prepare pharmaceutical entities.

Summary:

Ensures the safe, efficacious, and cost effective preparation and use of medications. Conducts practice of pharmacy in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations and hospital policy and procedures. Participates in ongoing evaluations to ensure quality patient care. Works well within a team environment; accepts and offers honest and constructive feedback; supports team goals and encourages other team members; and collaborates with patient care team members to consolidate work, solves problems, creates new methods to reduce costs if necessary. Shows flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constrains and demands placed on services as is common with changing reimbursement and managed care targets.

Formal Education Required:

Bachelor s Degree or Pharm D in pharmacy
Current Licensure in State of Ohio

Experience and Training Required:

Working knowledge of pharmacy law
Dexterity to operate a computer terminal, calculator, and other office equipment; to manipulate fine instruments; and prepare pharmaceutical entities in minute proportions.
