Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications and ensure prescriptions are appropriate and compliant with regulations

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and maintain accurate patient records
• Prepare sterile solutions and compound medications as needed
• Educate patients on device usage and manage pharmacy inventory

LTC Pharmacist Location: Hanover, PA 18706 Pay: $65+ per hour Schedule: Full-time

Schedule Options

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, plus every 3rd weekend, Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, plus every 3rd weekend, Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary

A closed-door LTC specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join its team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions, counseling patients, monitoring medication use, and collaborating with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications and ensure prescriptions are appropriate and compliant with regulations
• Monitor medication compliance and over-usage patterns
• Counsel patients on medications, dosage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records
• Provide services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff
• Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
• Identify and communicate medication-related problems to physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team

Requirements
