A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a Licensed LTC Pharmacist in Pennsylvania to support dispensing, patient safety, and collaboration with healthcare professionals in a long-term care setting.
You will review and dispense medications, counsel patients, supervise technicians, maintain records, and ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws. Availability for second shift and every third weekend is required.
We are seeking a Licensed LTC Pharmacist to support medication dispensing, patient safety, pharmacy operations, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. The pharmacist will ensure medications are appropriate and safely dispensed while maintaining accurate patient records and supporting pharmacy staff.
Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with applicable laws and pharmacy standards.
Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns or overuse patterns.
Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate and safe for patients.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper administration, dosage, storage, potential reactions, side effects, and drug interactions.
Provide consultation regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Educate patients on the proper handling and use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
Provide patient services such as smoking cessation education, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management, as applicable.
Compound medications for internal and external use.
Prepare sterile solutions while following appropriate procedures and safety standards.
Supervise pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, and other pharmacy support staff.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and medical supplies.
Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
Follow all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Active Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Strong knowledge of medication safety, dispensing procedures, and pharmacy regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to identify medication-related problems and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy and healthcare teams.
Ability to supervise pharmacy support staff.
Availability to work the required 2nd-shift schedule and every 3rd weekend.
