Park Ridge Pharmacy — Park Ridge, NJ (Bergen County, 15 minutes from Rockland County, NY)
Full-time · 70 hours per two weeks · Alternating Saturdays
Park Ridge Pharmacy is an independent, multi-service pharmacy in Bergen County serving retail patients, long-term care facilities and LTC‑at‑home residents, and non‑sterile compounding (USP 795/800) patients. We are also a New York‑registered non‑resident pharmacy. Roughly a third of our growth plan is long‑term care; another third is compounding, with a 3D printer arriving for the lab.
The owner is moving from the bench to running the business. We're hiring the pharmacist he hands the pharmacy to.
You don't need to have been a Pharmacist‑in‑Charge before. You need to want to be one, and to have run something well — a hospital shift, an outpatient pharmacy, an immunization program, a clinic. You make decisions and hold them. You'd rather own the standard than follow someone else's. If you're leaving a health system or a chain for a place where the decisions are actually yours, this is that job.
You join as staff pharmacist. On completing a defined 90‑day readiness plan — authoring the pharmacy's PIC policies, a Board‑checklist self‑audit, taking over the CDS inventory — you file as Pharmacist‑in‑Charge and your pay steps up. The store manager and LTC operations manager run daily operations; you set the clinical and compliance standard they work to.
70 hours per two weeks. Four fixed weekday shifts per week (9:00–5:00 or 11:00–7:00, alternating), plus every other Saturday 10:00–3:00. One weekday off every week, every other weekend off. Two‑pharmacist model with a protected daily production window. No 12‑hour solo shifts. No Sundays.
Phone screen, in‑person interview, and a paid three‑shift working trial before offer. We hire on what we see.
